This is the jersey John Hilworth wore for part of the 82-83 Komets season. It's made of a light weight small mesh polyester material. The crest and striping are screened on but for some reason the numbers are sewn. I bought the whole set and there were only two that were the standard tackle twill. The fight strap was a coin with a skate lace. It was removed long ago but you can still see the indentation. John played 92 games for Fort Wayne that season. There are on the left sleeve and a huge unrepaired hole on the right shoulder. There's a few stick marks and burns on this jersey. I think his original one was destroyed (the orange one was hammered) and this was a late season replacement. Acquired from a private colletor... 9/01/07. |
