This Ft Wayne Komet jersey was worn by captain Kevin MacDonald for their 1993 Turner Cup Championship season. Kevin was one of three players on the team to have over 280 PIMS that season. It was made by M-Sport who supplied many IHL teams in the early 90's. It's a heavy mesh size XL. It has very nice wear; many faint stick/puck marks, nice board burns and small tears. The neck has been stitched up and there a 2" cut on the back that's been fixed. The fight strap is a coin with a skate lace tied to it. The Perfection bakeries sponsor logo is embroidered directly on the right front of the jersey. The crest is an embroidered patch that's been sewn to the jersey and the M-Sport IHL is also directly embroidered to the tail. There are 3 initials A,C,F, embroidered on the Left shoulder to remember the mother of the Franke Brothers who still own the hockey club today.
This jersey had a huge autograph on the back numbers that I'm in the process of removing. Acquired via e-bay 7/7/07. |
